Interestingly enough, although the VVV has more knobs and probably IS more tweakable overall, I found the plain EQ section of the Plate much easier to dial in and resulted in me not even adding an external EQ after the effect, which I find myself doing in 90% of my reverb sends. Both sounded good, the Plate just sounded more appropriate for what I was going for So the Plate blended in much better into the mix because of that, while I felt like the VVV was sticking out too much in the high-mid range. There is something about it's Cobalt mode that manages to emulate the low-mid resonance of the real EMT140 (which is the sound I'm after, as I said), which the VVV just doesn't do well. I've settled on Valhalla Plate for my mix. ![]() ![]() ![]() Alright, I didn't forget! I just wanted to take my time demoing all the options and life has been really busy lately
